Professor Vinz Honored by NCTE
Ruth Vinz, Professor of English Education, received the Richard A. Meade Award, a national annual award given by the National Council of Teachers of English, for her book Composing a Teaching Life.
Ruth Vinz, Professor of English Education, received the Richard A. Meade Award, a national annual award given by the National Council of Teachers of English, for her book Composing a Teaching Life. The award honors published research in English language arts teacher development. It was named for the late Richard A. Meade, who was a professor at the University of Virginia and one of the founders of the NCTE conference on English Education.
Professor Vinz received the award at the 1997 NCTE Annual Convention in Detroit on November 21.
