Dr. Roscoe Brown, Director of the Center for Urban Education Policy of the Graduate School and University Center at CUNY, directed a parent training session at the March workshop, "Parent Participation in Public Education: Budget and Governance Strategies." Sponsored by CEO&I, it included a day of activities for parents and educators involved in school governance. The Honorable Priscilla Wooten, Chair of the N.Y.C. Council Education Committee, made opening remarks prior to a panel discussion by parents and community organization leaders. Closing remarks were made by Hon. Betsy McCaughey Ross, Lieutenant Governor of N.Y. State.
