Helms Award Winner Lectures at Winter Roundtable
Melba J.T. Vasquez, Ph.D., recipient of this year's Janet E. Helms Award for Mentoring and Scholarship in Psychology and Education, presented the Helms Award Lecture, "The Growing Complexity of Demographics in America: Implications for Psychology."
Vasquez practices psychology in Austin, Texas, specializing in working with women and ethnic minorities, and she trains professionals in areas of ethnic minority psychology, psychology of women, supervision and training, and professional ethics. As a founding member of the Austin Women's Psychotherapy Project, Vasquez brings the work of feminist psychologies to the Central Texas area.
She is also co-author of Ethics in Psychotherapy and Counseling: A Practical Guide for Psychologists.
