Tonya Muro Homan is a doctoral candidate in the International and Transcultural Studies department. She will be receiving her master's degree in International Educational Development in May of this year. Her focus for her doctoral studies is on higher and post-secondary education with a concentration on HIV/AIDS education. She began the master's program in the summer of 2000. As her interests are evolving, Homan is would like to do a cross-cultural comparison for her doctoral thesis that compares how college students in South Africa and the United States learn about HIV/AIDS.
