FERA Brings the University to Middle School Students

On Tuesday, May 5, Teachers College doctoral student Kelvin Sealey, using a blend of popular Hollywood films, introduced a visiting group of 7th grade students from Paul Lawrence Dunbar Middle School in the Bronx to the idea of the university, with its complex mix of knowledge and perspectives. Sealey is a founder of the Film & Education Research Academy (FERA) at Teachers College, a research unit of the Center for Educational Outreach & Innovation.
