Colette Mazzucelli (CEO&I) was named International Educator of the Year 2003 by the International Biographical Centre in Cambridge, England.
Diane Dean (Finance and Administration) and Katie Embree (TC Innovations) were part of a Higher Education Leadership Forum with three other TC alumni also participating. Tracy Pilar Johnson-Messinger (International and Transcultural Studies and Organization and Leadership) has been awarded a 2003-2004 Spencer Dissertation Fellowship for research related to education. Lori Mielcarek (Human Development)
received a dissertation grant from the Murray Research Center, part of
the Radcliffe Institute of Advanced Study at Harvard University. Her
dissertation will use a biopsychosocial framework in order to
investigate how pubertal development and the stress hormone cortisol
are linked with context and adjustment in African-American, Latina, and
white girls. Colette Mazzucelli (CEO&I) was named International Educator of the Year 2003 by the International Biographical Centre in Cambridge, England. Julie Schell (Organization and Leadership) was
awarded one of The Point Foundation scholarships which will fund her
entire program at TC. The Point Foundation is the first nationwide LGBT
scholarship foundation granting scholarships to undergraduate, graduate
and post-graduate students of distinction. The Foundation awards
scholarships based on leadership and need. Daniel Tamulonis (Former Director of Peace Corps Fellows)
was featured in a New York Times article called, "Gay Families Flourish
as Acceptance Grows." The article, which discussed Tamulonis, his
partner Keith Lee Grant and their two adopted children, explored how
families headed by lesbians and gay men come about and how well they
are faring.
