CCRC Reports on Dual Enrollment
A report by Melinda Mechur Karp, Juan Carlos Calcagno, Katherine L. Hughes, Dong Wook Jeong and Thomas R. Bailey explores enrollment by high school students in college-level courses. The authors, all of whom are with the Community College Research Center at Teachers College, found that dual enrollment is a useful strategy for encouraging postsecondary success -- not only for academically-focused high school students, but also for those who participate in career and technical education programs.
