Curriculum on fiscal responsibility
TC received a three-year $2.45-million grant from the Peter G. Peterson Foundation to develop a non-partisan curriculum on fiscal responsibility that will be distributed free to all U.S. high schools. Faculty member Anand Marri and colleagues are developing the curriculum to teach students the facts, significance and consequences of public policies leading to persistent deficits and a growing national debt. A baseline study by Marri found virtually no current high school economics education about the federal budget and fiscal policy.
