An International Welcome
President Fuhrman and the TC community greeted TC's international students in September. The College's international enrollment has risen sharply in recent years
On Friday, September 24, 2010, the TC community came together for an afternoon reception in Russell Courtyard--welcoming this year’s cohort of more than 200 international students and visiting scholars. Teachers College President Susan Fuhrman delivered welcoming remarks, along with TC’s Thomas Rock, Executive Director of Enrollment Services; Samantha Lu, Director of International Student Services; and Marion Boultbee, former Director of International Services, who is now a member the TC Alumni Council member.
The College’s international enrollment, which has risen sharply in recent years, is currently at its highest ever with a total of 772 international students, and there are students from many countries, including Afghanistan, Iran, Sierra Leone, Vietnam and Bhutan.
