Video from “Innovations in International Education,” this past spring's TEDx conference at Teachers College, is now available on YouTube. If you were one of the nearly 300 graduate students, professors, and organization leaders who attended the talk, or would simply like to see what you missed, now is your chance.

The student-organized TEDx at TC event focused on a wide range of educational topics. According to TC graduate and TEDx at TC organizer Tamar van Gelderen, "the event aimed to familiarize more people outside of the international education field with the work that is being done by professors, practitioners and students at Teachers College as well as NGOs around the world."  The full-day event was subdivided in four themes: Education Policy, Peace & Justice, Technology, and Gender & Equity. 

A group of current TC students is hoping mount a second TEDx conference this year.

 

"TEDxTeachersCollege is now a student organization, and with the release of the 2012 videos, plans are underway for the next event that will take place in Spring 2013," van Gelderen says. "The TEDx university events are completely organized by students, and we are always looking for new people to join.
