Reading & Writing Project Signs Up Two Connecticut School Systems
TC's Reading & Writing Project has agreed to provide teacher training to two school systems in Connecticut. Groton received a $1 million Department of Defense grant to engage RWP to run a five-year literacy training program for teachers in grades kindergarten through eight. Superintendent Michael Graner said he believes the grant will be a “game changer” for Groton, which enroll a high number of students from military families, but that “the training would also be available to teachers at our non-military elementary and middle schools,”
