WHO WAS YOUR IMPACT PROFESSOR?

If you could interview all 90,000 living Teachers College alumni, each would describe a different teach­ers college experience. The common thread is that one professor (and sometimes more) who inspired us, nur­tured us and profoundly changed our thinking — and our lives — forever. Here are recollections of TC teachers who did just that.

Professor Douglas Stone had us step outside our culture to see, in an anthropological way, our modern mindset, our fragmented thinking, our broken world. I have passed down his insights to my history students. Kit Olivi (M.E. '94)
