Continuing "The Conversation": Young Women, Empowerment and Leadership"
Last year, as a TC master's degree student, Brennan DuBose organized and moderated an event titled “The Conversation Presents The State of African-American Males in Urban Education,” a panel discussion at TC that featured five African-American, male Columbia professors.
Now DuBose is back as a doctoral student in English Education, and this coming Tuesday evening, March 31, at 7:15 p.m, he will host and moderate "The Conversation - Young Women, Empowerment, & Leadership" in TC's Cowin Conference Center. The speakers will include:

Kathryn Kolbert, Constance Hess Williams Director of the Athena Center For Leadership Studies at Barnard College.
Dorothy Roberts, George A. Weiss University Professor of Law and Sociology and The Raymond Pace and Sadie Tanner Mossell Alexander Professor of Civil Rights at the University of Pennsylvania Law School
Farah Griffin, William B. Ransford Professor of English and Comparative Literature and African-American Studies at Columbia University
Debra Minkoff, Professor and Chair of Sociology at Barnard College.
The event is sponsored by TC's Vice President's Office for Diversity and Community Affairs. Admission is free and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
