PCMag Spotlights TC's Creative Tech Program

PCMag is running a feature story on TC's Advanced Certificate Program in Creative Technologies, which is directed by Judith Burton, Professor of Art & Art Education in the Department of Arts & Humanities. The story places the College and its program in the vanguard of efforts to change the nation's focus on STEM -- science, technology, engineering and mathematics -- to STEAM, with the "A" standing for the arts.

A cover story on the Creative Technologies program also appears in the current issue of TC Today magazine.

The PCMag story, which describes TC's "ThingSpace" in the basement of Macy Hall, features doctoral student Angela Allmond, who is writing her dissertation on "studio spaces and how they meet the needs of students and teachers."

"The ThingSpace is an imaginative way to inspire a whole new generation of educators and their students," the story concludes. "Considering Teachers College is where Georgia O'Keeffe studied from 1914 to 1915, it's great to know it is still forging individual minds and creative spirits within a future-ready learning environment."
