Dear Residents,
As you are aware, Teachers College has sent emails updating the TC community regarding COVID-19. All updates and information can be found on the Teachers College Preparedness website:
https://www.tc.columbia.edu/preparedness/
This is the best place to get up to date information regarding the Teachers College response to COVID-19.
We understand that you are not only students here at TC, but part of the residential community and we want to reassure residents that the Office of Residential Services is working closely with the College to plan for all likely scenarios in the residence halls.
CLEANING COMMUNITY SPACES
At this time, Facilities staff is also taking action to enhance the cleanliness of our community. In addition to custodial staff continuing to clean all public spaces daily, they will also be disinfecting every community space multiple times a day. This includes all community kitchens, community bathrooms, laundry rooms, lounges, elevators, etc. Hand sanitizer stations have also been placed near entrances of residence hall communities.
INTERNET/CABLE ISSUES
As classes have been moved on-line, please contact Privatel regarding any internet concerns. You can email Privatel at service@privatelinc.com or call them at 732-974-1502.
To make sure that you receive highest speed internet, please check to make sure your wi-fi is selecting the non 2.4ghz wi-fi associated with your unit. For example, if you like in Whittier 107, you should see Whittier 107 2.4 and Whittier 107 for wi-fi. Choosing 107 would provide you the fastest wifi.
DINING SERVICES HOURS:
Beginning tomorrow, Thursday, March 12, the Cafeteria will be closed until Monday, March 23.
Starbucks, first floor of Russell Hall, will be open from 8am-5pm for March 12 and 13, and from March 16 – 19. Starbucks will have salads and sandwiches in addition to their normal offerings.
SPRING BREAK TRAVEL PLANS
With Spring Break being next week, we know many of you may have made plans to be away, but some of you will still be here. So that we can best plan campus services, we ask that each resident complete a quick questionnaire below by FRIDAY, March 13th at 12pm:
