Dear Members of the TC Community,
Though we are not yet past the recent surge of COVID-19, we are reassured by data that suggests cases of severe illness remain low in New York thanks to the city’s high rates of vaccinations and booster shots. Please remember that TC will soon require community members to submit proof of a booster shot. If you have received or are now eligible to receive a booster shot*, you will be required to upload your documentation by February 28. We are in the process of creating a new form to collect proof of booster shots and will share more details later this month. Please hold off on submitting your documentation until we provide the form.
*You will not be required to submit proof of a booster shot until you are eligible to receive one. Please refer to this page of the CDC website to determine when you will be eligible.
In accordance with the CDC’s revised COVID-19 quarantine and isolation guidelines, TC’s Environmental Health and Safety Team has updated protocols for positive cases on campus and contact tracing. We invite you to familiarize yourself with the new protocols here. The important things to note are:
- If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 and/or have test positive, you MUST complete the Daily Health Screening to report your change in health to TC, regardless of whether you are planning to come to campus.
- Upon receiving your completed screening, the Environmental Health and Safety Team will follow up with you directly to explain any necessary isolation and/or quarantine measures detailed here.
- If you receive a positive PCR test result, whether you have been vaccinated or not, you must immediately begin a minimum 5 day isolation period.
Thank you for your continued support as we work to safely navigate this recent surge of COVID-19. We look forward to seeing you on campus again at the end of this month. Remember, in addition to your proof of booster shot, you are also required to submit a gateway PCR test result for Spring 2022. As previously communicated, you must upload your PCR result via this form by January 28.
Sincerely,
