Alumni
TC’s ARAD graduates are administrative leaders in the multiple fields that constitute the arts: opera, ballet, modern and folk dance, orchestral and small ensemble music, visual art and sculpture, film, photography, spoken word and poetry, digital arts, along with multi-disciplinary and festival presentations. They staff departments of education, curation and programming, fundraising and development, collections management, public relations and advertising, facilities management, and many are entrepreneurs. Increasingly, students are graduating into arts-support positions, among the education- and materials-focused non-profit sector, in government and policy, foundations, and in advocacy organizations. They hold posts in every major museum and performing arts organization in New York, and in many other cultural capitals.
Most of our graduates work in the nonprofit sector which is unsurprising: we have a long-standing commitment to prioritize applicants with a history of volunteerism and who are committed to increasing access to the arts, to social justice, and multiculturalism. Others are employed in the commercial sector, at companies such as Columbia Records, CBS Television Studios, Lesley Heller Workspace, and in the Global Social Impact division of Starbucks.
