Five decades of SLA research have led to a broad consensus that second language development is fundamentally a socio-cognitive constructive process where there is a dynamic - but likely principled - interplay of environmental forces, learner agency, and time, and where the quality and quantity of experience with the target language is quintessential.
This symposium collectively explores and ascertains the potential of using stories as vehicles for input and output affordances to help drive L2 development in its various manifestations.
The most current symposium flyer and program are now available for your interest (see download links below). Come check them out and see for yourself the caliber of our carefully selected paper sessions and keynote speaker presentation.
The symposium proved to be a great success! We have received a large number of paper submissions and had presenters including professors, researchers, doctoral and master's students from about 10 countries! Thanks to the presenters and the keynote speaker's insightful sessions! They provided the audience with not only excellent food for thought but the point of departure for more stimulating, in-depth intellectual exchange to come.
