Overview
Recent attention has initiated a critical examination of the role of systemic racism across all sectors of society. In response to this shift in national dialogue, graduate student groups at Teachers College, Columbia University, as well as those across the country, have partnered with faculty to highlight a strong need to increase anti-racism efforts within psychology training. Such calls have focused on the need to support Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) students within psychology, and related fields, by dismantling institutionalized racism and inequity within the field of psychology. The goal of this full-day conference was to provide educators, supervisors, and students within the field of psychology and related fields with the needed resources to critically examine and decolonize their curricular, research, supervision, and mentorship practices.

Funding for the Decolonizing Psychology Practices Conference was provided by the American Psychological Association (APA) Board of Educational Affairs (BEA).
