Student Engagement
We strive to create a strong Program in Nutrition community.
Students are actively engaged in many activities related to the Program, including the Grapevine student newsletter; events organized by the HealthNuts student club such as our annual alumni panel and informal get-togethers for brunch or drinks; Book Clubs or Movie Nights; or participation as a student mentor.
Many students are also active in our faculty research projects, including at our Laurie M. Tisch Center for Food, Education & Policy.
We have an active listserv for students and faculty through which announcements are posted every Sunday morning which include program announcements, TC-wide community events, scholarship, and internship/employment opportunities. Many of our alumni choose to stay on our listserv to receive job announcements and join our Program’s alumni LinkedIn network.
In addition, because of Teachers College’s location in New York City, there are unlimited opportunities for students to become involved in a variety of food and nutritionārelated activities in the community.
Our Program in Nutrition alumni build a community, often become lifelong friends, and continually support each other professionally.
