Neha Badade
Masters Student in Developmental Psychology
Human Development Senator
Neha is a first year master's student in the Developmental Psychology program. She is originally from Plainsboro, New Jersey, and graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in Neuroscience and a developmental psychology minor. She aims to enter medical school after graduation, interested in pediatric medicine as a career. Neha loves working with diverse communities and learning about new topics in science and fiction. In her free time, she likes to be among nature and catch up with close friends and family, and sometimes prefers watching a new movie or show. During her time with the student senate, she hopes to be a productive voice for the human development department, and bring forth desired changes with an open mind. No matter how small you think your concern is, Neha is always open to listen and help!
Maeghan Sill
Masters Student in Learning Analytics
Human Development Senator
I am a second-year student in the M.S. Learning Analytics program at Teachers College, Columbia University, with a background in sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My teaching experience in public, charter, and international schools in the U.S. and China has given me a deep understanding of how diverse educational approaches influence student outcomes. This experience fuels my passion for using data-driven decision-making to promote equity in education. I am also a member of the Education Leadership Data Analytics (ELDA) Research Group at Teachers College, where we leverage data to address educational equity and inform policy. In my free time, I enjoy playing board games, watching sports, exploring new places, trying new food, and listening to live music. As a departmental senator for the Human Development department, I am a liaison for communicating the needs of the students in our department to the greater Teachers College and Columbia University community. As an active member of the Grounds and Resources Committee, I advocate for sustainability, stewardship, community health, and equity in the facilities, assets, and resources of Teachers College. In my work on this committee last year, I helped write and pass a resolution introducing free menstrual products in campus bathrooms. I also advocated for campus safety improvements. Through these experiences, I’ve seen how impactful student voices can be in shaping positive change. I am committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all students at Teachers College and look forward to continuing this work. Please reach out to me by email, during our Senate office hours, or just when you see me on campus. I look forward to hearing from you!
