Spring 2024 Tuition Exemption Application Deadline
Dear TC Employees,
Kindly take note of the following Tuition Exemption application deadline and submission instructions:
Spring 2024 Tuition Exemption Deadline: February 13, 2024.
Submission Instructions: All completed tuition exemption application forms must be submitted via email to the HR Benefits Team at benefits@tc.columbia.edu.
**Please note, you must complete the latest version of the application form (rev. 12/2019), and your application must be signed by your supervisor before submission.
Employees participating in the Tuition Tax Exemption Program must submit the completed Job-Related Graduate Education Certification Form for their Degree/Advanced Certificate or Non-Degree Program with their Tuition Exemption Application by the application session deadline. Please review the employee and supervisor instructions for additional information.
The College is obligated by law to withhold taxes on graduate tuition exemption benefits received by all eligible employees if it exceeds $5,250 per calendar year, as indicated in Section 4.1.11 of the Tuition Policy. You may also review the Tuition Tax Schedule for additional information.
The tuition exemption benefit only exempts tuition costs. Employees utilizing this benefit will be responsible for payment of registration fees and any other incurred fees by the deadline indicated in the Academic Calendar.
