Your Benefits, Your Choice: 2025 Benefits Enrollment Begins October 28!

Dear Colleagues,

It’s that time of year again — Teachers College’s annual Benefits Open Enrollment period is just around the corner! From October 28 to November 8, you’ll have the opportunity to review and make changes to your benefits selections for 2025. This is your annual opportunity to ensure your benefits align with your needs, so acting within this window is essential. To get started, review your current benefits selections in Benefitfocus and TC’s benefits portfolio.

Key Dates to Remember:

Open Enrollment:
Monday, October 28 to Friday, November 8, 2024
During this period, you can:

*Health Savings Accounts are available only for Aetna Value plan participants. Participants in the Health Savings Account are also eligible for a contribution from TC.

During the benefits election period (“Open Enrollment”), you’ll receive a reminder and detailed information on plan options and rates. Stay tuned for these important updates!

Important Reminders:

    • FSA Enrollment: Your participation in an FSA does not roll over automatically. If you want to participate in 2025, you must re-elect during this Open Enrollment period. If no election is made, your FSA participation will end on December 31, 2024.
    • FSA Rollover: If you have an unused FSA balance as of December 31, 2024, you may roll over up to $640 into 2025. Any remaining balance over $640 will be forfeited. However, you must still elect to participate in an FSA for 2025 if you want to make new contributions.
  • HSA Re-Election: Like FSAs, HSA participation requires re-election. The good news is that contributions can be modified throughout the year to adjust to your needs.

Benefits Fair

We’re excited to invite you to our in-person Benefits Fair on Wednesday, November 6, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Everett Lounge. This is an excellent opportunity to get your questions answered and explore all your options.
We will also host benefits walk-in sessions, where you can ask specific benefits questions.
