- Local 2110 - The probationary period for an employee hired into a position covered by the 2110 Collective Bargaining Agreement is 90 days from the date of hire. If you successfully complete the 90-day probationary period, you will gain additional rights such as enrollment into voluntary health benefits, the ability to use accrued vacation, sick, and personal time, and rights to the grievance procedure.

- Local 707 - The probationary period for an employee hired into a position covered by the 707 Collective Bargaining Agreement is 75 working days from the date of hire. If you successfully complete the 75-day probationary period, you will be eligible to gain additional rights such as enrollment into voluntary health benefits, the ability to use accrued vacation, sick, and personal time, and has rights to the grievance procedure.

If your position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement you may access a copy of the agreement by either
- requesting a copy from your union representative or delegate or;
- downloading a copy from the Union Contracts section of the Human Resources website.
The College has the overall responsibility of assigning job duties that are within the overall scope of your job description. If you have a question about your job duties, you should schedule time to speak with your supervisor.
If you feel that you are performing duties outside of your grade where there is a potential violation of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), speak with your supervisor, department head, consult with your union representative or reach out to your HR Department Representative.
The need for a schedule change should be discussed with your supervisor.
