TC’s new program in Creative Technologies marries the old and new. New tools such as Arduinos, maKey-maKeys and invent-ablers can be used to animate old but interesting junk, from old-time cameras to outdated robots to boom-boxes and TV parts. The goal is for students to embrace an expanded notion of materials, make things move, light up and make noise, and say, “I’m not intimidated.”
