Accessibility for Convocation 2026
How should I prepare?
- When you arrive at the United Palace Theater, proceed to the lobby, where you will be required to show your Grad Pass and a form of ID (TC ID or government issued ID such as a Passport or Driver’s License) for grad check-in.
- Be sure to check in and follow the staff's directions upstairs to your department's designated seating area.
- Your guests will arrive separately and be seated in their assigned seats.
- In the grad assembly area , you will receive pre-show instructions before the procession begins.
- When it’s time to line up, staff will guide you down the stairs and through the orchestra seating area. You will remain in this area for the duration of the ceremony.
- Each ceremony will feature speeches by President Tom Bailey, a recipient of the TC Medal for Distinguished Service, and a student speaker, along with a musical performance.
- After the speeches, individual recognition of graduates will begin. Staff will guide students from seat to stage.
- Master’s graduates will cross the stage as their names are called.
- Doctoral graduates will be hooded on stage.
- The ceremony will conclude with a welcome to the Alumni Association and closing remarks.
Feeling sick and unable to attend? You will be able to tune in virtually.

With large crowds, finding your graduate afterward can be tricky. Pick a meeting spot in advance to avoid confusion.
