After completing her travel, Jullia shared the following reflections and learnings:

In January 2024, I had the opportunity to travel to Seoul, Korea, to collect data for my PhD dissertation research. During my time there, I also had the privilege of delivering a guest lecture and establishing international research connections. This experience has helped me build confidence as a maturing researcher beyond the TC community. I am hopeful that, with the collected data, this work could potentially lead to my initial publication, a pivotal step in my professional development.

In my current research at TC, I am studying the effects of AI-generated educational videos on learning. In previous pilot studies, I worked with adult populations at TC and in the New York area. However, I wanted to extend my research by conducting a separate study related to English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners, and this opportunity has allowed me to do just that. Furthermore, the research findings carry practical implications, offering insights to EFL instructors on optimizing the use of AI-generated multimedia content in their teaching practices. I am grateful for this experience and would like to express my gratitude to the International Travel Grant for supporting me on this journey!
