Resilience & Growth: The EPIC Experience

Students will be taught the art of conveying their challenges related to academics, peer relationships, family, or other life scenarios, and leveraging these experiences positively. Under the mentorship of EPIC researchers, students will create a multimedia narrative struggle story, and discover their new and great potential in turning their struggles into successes.

Participants in this workshop are trained to prevent and intervene with issues on harassment, bullying, cyber bullying and discrimination in an academic setting. This one day, six-hour workshop satisfies the requirements for New York State teacher certification.
Child Abuse Identification & Reporting

In this workshop, participants train in the processes of both identifying and reporting suspected child abuse and maltreatment. This is a single session, two-hour workshop that satisfies this particular requirement for New York State teacher certification.
