At Tioga Elementary, Senator Gillibrand witnessed how the Tioga Central School District uses Agriculture Education to not only teach students about healthy food choices, but also to develop the next generation of farmers. At the Urban Grow Center, the Senator experienced how Capital Roots works to make healthy food affordable and available to all.

As a member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, Senator Gillibrand is actively fighting the Trump Administration's proposed cuts to SNAP benefits over the next 10 years. With the next farm bill approaching, her efforts, and the efforts of other nutrition education advocates, will mean the difference between sustaining and losing these much-needed programs.
