With the Spring 2025 semester beginning, the DFI Media Studios are buzzing with bright ideas and new voices. The studio welcomes students, faculty, and staff to create their own media projects for teaching and learning, and helps creators with many elements of the recording process.

An appointment in the studio in Macy 259 includes technical support from our studio staff and helpful pointers on production and editing, no matter the form of the project.

It was very special to be able to use professional equipment and to have a trained professional in the room to help with any technical issues.

Charlie Graffius, The Movement Fluidity Podcast

The podcast studio has been especially alive lately, filled with thoughtful conversations, exciting ideas, and plenty of new episodes. Want to take a listen? Below is a short list of five podcasts recently recorded in the DFI Media Studios, spanning disciplines, formats, and innovative perspectives.

The Movement Fluidity Podcast with Charlie Graffius

The Movement Fluidity Podcast started as a way to share Charlie Graffius’s story of defying the odds of what doctors told him to be possible by playing varsity baseball and tennis in college, while living with Cerebral Palsy (CP). Soon after, Charlie began recording episodes on various scientific topics that contribute to a holistic approach for improving movement function and quality of life regarding CP. This transformed into interviewing guests from diverse backgrounds in fields such as physical therapy, strength and conditioning, sports psychology, and more. As Graffius has learned from studying Motor learning and Motor Control at Teachers College, movement disorders such as CP are challenging to improve and require multifactorial interventions. This podcast has allowed him to gain insight from conversations with people all over the world to piece together this puzzle of CP, which can hopefully continue to help people like Charlie defy the odds of what is possible. - Charlie Graffius
