DFI collaborates with Teachers College faculty and community members to create and support the creation of media for use in pedagogy, scholarship and research. Together we produce original podcasts and video series, support multimodal research, and provide trainings and resources to foster the use of media to create connections within and beyond the university.

New Episode of Pop & Play!
Episode 9: What’s Poppin’ at the End of the World: A Story Episode
Haeny and Nathan aren’t just here to talk about children’s media - in this season finale, they’re here to MAKE children’s media! Welcome to a fictional tale of what happens after the end of the world, drawing on prompts and suggestions from this season’s guests and narrated by guest star Hannah Holbert. It’s an episode unlike any previous Pop and Play: we hope you enjoy it! And if you share it with any kids, let us know what they think! Send us a message at @popandplaypod on Instagram!

New Episode of Curriculum Encounters!
BONUS: Curriculum Is Everywhere with Pop and Play
In case you missed it, tune in for this special episode recorded back in February when Sarah and Jackie were guests on Pop and Play, the spectacular podcast about play and popular culture hosted by Haeny Yoon and Nathan Holbert from the Digital Futures Institute. They share a broader definition of “curriculum” as their conversation touches on the playful aspects of curriculum design and how curriculum encounters offer simple opportunities for play while paying attention to the world around them.
